I agree. You can see where the plating has bubbled from the heat.
In the future, please crop and rotate you7r photos a per CCF instructions.

Another lesson, when dealing with coins a "mule" is a coin struck with a pair of dies not intended to be used together. Typically they will be dies from different coin series or denominations such as the Sac dollar and Washington quarter mules, or the early draped bust dimes that used quarter eagle reverse dies. Sometimes they will be dies from the same denomination but different series such as the 1840 small letters half dollar that used a seated liberty obv with a reeded edge capped bust reverse, or the 2008 burnished silver eagles with the rev of 2007. Or sometimes dies from the same series that weren't supposed to be used together such as the 198, 99, and 2000 Wide AM cents that pair a regular business strike obv die with a rev die that was hubbed intending to be used as a proof die. These are examples of "mules"

Quote: I have nothing but a heat damaged coin? Yes that is my opinion. Pareidolia might lead you to believe that there is another face in their somewhere, but this coin didn't leave the mint looking like this.

@coop76, I'm sorry to have offended you with a big word, but honestly that one best describes when you are looking so hard to find something, anything, in a meaningless pattern. Every single person who has responded thinks that your coin is damaged and so you can take that collective opinion for what you want. Feel free to spend the $100 to get this coin slabbed by ANACS or whoever if you would like to prove us wrong.
