Is-It-Normal-Or-Unusual-For-This-To-Be-On-A-Roosevelt-Dime

Forgive me, for my horrible blurry pictures. my phone is cheep an if I had a magnifying glass that was worth a hoot they would probably be so much clearer. so bare with me, and if it helps, squint your eyes. and I hope you can see too. this is a pick of a 1997,D Roosevelt dime. and zoomed in on the nose is the # 97 the same year as the dime is. deos know anything about this or can someone tell me if this is normal? or odd? or anything about this please.? thanks

I think you'll probably need better pictures, I can't really make out much in either.

The images are so close up, I can't tell what I'm looking at. 10X is a better power to search with. 30# max to look at fine details. Anything above that is over kill.

so if you have an understanding of how a coin, is minted, perhaps you can explain, how a 97 could be could be pressed into the nose, than maybe you would understand, that no one is interested in stopping you from cherry picking, but you can't cherry pick something that isn't there to start with.. Have you every seen another example of what you claim to see.. If not, than that you tell you volumes..

You are ignoring the facts..and probably wouldn't believe anything you hear from us at this point.. Feel free to spend your money and send the coin to a TPG..

So instead of saying paredolia, let me say it's your imagination.
What you think you are seeing is impossible to happen during the striking of the coin.
It has probably taken a hit or two creating those marks you think looks like a 97. It's PMD.
As silverwolf says, prove us wrong and spend the money to get it certified.

I don't think you quite know what cherry-picking is in coins. It's finding errors that sellers are not aware of and getting them fore a better deal. Has nothing to do with politics or whatever you said.

@CD, I've taken the liberty of rotating, cropping, enlarging, and enhancing your pics. I can see clearly what you are talking about and while it does look vaguely like a 9 and a 7, I think that you will agree that these are of a different size and shape than the numbers found on the dime (such as in the date). Given this, the simplest explanation is that they are just oddly-shaped damage.
