The contrast of the 30s. 1936 getting buried alive in coins and half dollars - 1931 just some pennies.

Oh well 1929 will bring the flood back. Even I will be showing a lot of American coins between 1928 and a Barber dime I have dated 1900.

McShilling - the comment was about the number of coins produced in 1931 - not the quality or value. I know that 1931 S is a key date coin and very scarce.

I used to collect American and know there were huge numbers of coins issued in the 1926 - 1929 period and then 1934 onwards, but the 1930 - 1933 period numbers of coins issued were very low compared to those years.

I also noticed it when my Wheat penny collection seemed to have nothing between 1929 and 1934 (I am a amateur collector there).
