Beautiful coins there Pepactonius and a great variety - gold 5 pesos, a leper token and a superb Barber along with the Turkish piece.

Here is a worn looking 5 Piastres of Egypt. This coin was slightly over shilling size and is 1/20 of an Egyptian pound then.

The best thing about is that it cost me $6 - barely over melt (Remember the Kiwi $ is worth 58 cents US).

A very interesting West Africa 2 shilling piece. Used in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and the Gambia at the time.

This sterling silver coin lasted poorly in the hot wet African climate (This example must have been rescued early) and in the 1920s it was remade in Brass which lasted through to the 1950s.

It was the highest value coin in the set they had, starting with a 1/10 Penny!

High VF's but I suspect possible cleaning.

If it helps every coin I described as transit back in the 30s and 20s arrived today and they are in my collection!
