Lots of worn stuff from me. Two very worn French 50 centimes   From my junk silver collection - boring holes through coins was very popular back then? This one is even worse and just realised its 1866 not 1864 - oh well u live and learn.   Although from the time of Louis Napoleon, the coins were the same size and weight as 50 centimes coins up to 1919/1920 and may have been used up to then. Also this teensy weensy Portuguese 50 Reis, this coin is super tiny like 15mm.   It is so small the hole takes a big chunk out of it - otherwise its almost in Fine condition (Whats left of it), how did people cope with such fiddly tiny coins? I think its very cute and a sweet baby coin to survive 156 years. Wonder what it bought when new? Edited by Princetane

Two British coins for 1864   Guernsey 4 Doubles, equivalent to a Half penny - VG but very darkened and stained. Despite no Victoria, this island was considered part of the UK and the coin was minted at The Royal Mint in London.   UK penny - lowball again, but decent reverse with silhouette of Britannia and a clear date, like NumisRob said this coin probably circulated for over 100 years! I have some better coins coming for 1862 and 1863. Edited by Princetane
