Point taken about the tiny coins - got even tinier ones now, 5 cent coins of the Netherlands from 1850 - I can not believe how teensy they are (Remember a Guilder is a barely shilling size coin - so 5 cents of it, is not like a hlaf dime or half dino - this is a coin barely the size of a Maundy penny). But you will have to wait until 1850 to see it 1863 starts with a pair of early Italians for me. The 2 Lire is quite nice and the 1 Lire is decent but again holey. Considering these are junk silver pieces (Meaning the coins have $9 of silver in them and they cost me $10 the pair - whose complaining). Historic and beautiful pieces from early Risurgimento era (I think the Pope was still acting autonomous and parts of the north were owned by Austria - Hungary).

The early Italian coins can not stop flowing A 10 Centisimi bronze coin and this is penny/10 Centimes sized. Its not bad except it has a dent in it. Many of these coins you get here in New Zealand and most are from deceased estate lots - many are from soliders in the wars who picked up souvenirs and hence why I have so many worn and munted coins that are like 150 - 160 years old. Again a 20 cent coin, but a million dollars in historical value!
