Nice Danish! Duchy of Lorraine, 1716 teston, overstruck on earlier type that I will show for 1712. As mentioned upthread, the House of Lorraine (and later Hapsburg-Lorraine) was a claimant to the title King of Jerusalem, and this coin features the Jerusalem cross rather than the traditional arms of Lorraine & Bar on the reverse.   |

Here is a 3 Kreuzer minted in Prague and dated 1716 AD. It looks almost yellow from the years of grime, but I'm keeping it original rather than stripping it down to shiny silver metal.   "If you climb a good tree, you get a push."

Lovely 3 kreuzer coin yesterday! There is a drought of real Polish issues between 1751 and 1702 (just Saxony coins for simultaneous use in Poland), so I have a run of "Liards de Lorraine." This 1715 is one of the more oddly shaped coins in my collection.   |

That is a great Saint Paul! I think outside of the Papal States, Munster has the most coins with his image. Back to big hair with this 1714 liard from Lorraine (I bet "How Far Back" has never seen Leopold this much before  )   |
