Good evening,

I need help to identify the reverse. No obverse is needed as it won't help, I tried it as I showed it to a very select few top knowledgeable numismatists and only one had see it before and knew nothing more about it than the fact that it existed.
Sorry about that secrecy it is because I am working on an article and I wish to keep the punch to the end. Will gladly say it once finished.

I can indicate it is a halfpenny size, weight 6.05 g. The picture shows the one that is not mine. It is the nicest I have access to.

Thanks to all!

First guess is an Ireland or Hibernia Penny Halfpenny or farthing from the 1760's. But I don't see a crown above the harp?
(I'm looking now)

Exactly, no crown is to be seen, that's one thing I noticed. I can add that this token circulated in Canada.

I suspect it is perhaps some kind of evasion but I looked in few books. Didn't see a thing.

As you might notice as well, the token is worn but not that much, it's a worn die. I'm actually looking, for my article, what it was paired with. Again a reason not to lose focus by showing on what this one was paired with.

Also as I mentioned, it is a halfpenny, 27.9mm.

Thanks!

Well, I looked. Maybe it's a blacksmith token but I dunno. It is not an 1820 Bust and Harp or George Ords tho. Best of luck, please follow up if you identify.

PS: I looked in my Canadian Colonial Tokens 8th edition and found there are several more blacksmith harp tokens than I thought but it doesn't look like any of those. Actually it looks too good to be a crudely made blacksmith to me anyway.

Hi again,

Thanks for trying, I must point out that it is most definitively not a blacksmith.

Will gladly let you know if I find it out. Also, once the article done I will show the obverse. It will be published in the Canadian Numismatic Journal.

Best to you
