Found a 1971 s proof eisonhower that I was going to send off until I seen alittle section of the rim missing any ideas if this is a error or just a damaged coin. Worth grading it is a nice eisonhower?

@nitt, first welcome to CCF. Second, that is a good question and I'm not sure of the answer based on this one pic. Can you please add a picture taken of the defect, but from the other vantage point (looking at the edge). Also, does this wrap around to the other side?

Would need pictures of both the front and back to tell you if it's worth grading.

If it's a mixed relief one it could be, just another reason for full pictures
