1982 Washington Quarter Possible Misaligned Die With Partial Loss

LyNx New Member United States 15 Posts	Posted 01/16/2020 01:42 am What I've learned from this forum is that misaligned die with partial loss of device are common in this variety. There are no reeds on this coin and a small part of the collar is chipped. I can't tell if it's post damage. If not, does it have any premium? Thanks in advance. Report this Post to the Staff

It's been won and lost so many times that it's worn down from all the coin to coin contact. I've seen nickels with the same surfaces that came from a slot machine. But the 1982 quarters have an issue similar to the 1968 cents, the 1982 cents where the master hub was swelling. The following /same years make new master hubs to fit the issue the same/next year.
