My favorite store is the local mom and pop market that sells the cheapest beer, cigs, pot smoking supply`s and yes I`m guilty of cleaning out the coin jar for a pack of cigs.

I'm the other side of the coin so to speak. I own / run a store. Our cash drawer has spots for $2 bills, half dollars and dollar coins (I built it myself so it would have those spots), which we fill at the bank each week, but additionally, when I buy from the mint S quarters rolls, NIFC halves every year and rolls of Native American dollars, Presidential / Innovation / whatever the mint is doing now, I take out 4 or 5 for me, 5 for my friend in England and then dump the rest in the till at work to give out in change. Most customers don't realize that they are getting something that normally isn't found circulating, but they still think it's cool.

It's why I use cash almost 100%. Local party store and gas stations.

No store in particular. But I always use cash. I never give a cashier any coins. Always want change back. I don't like when they pull a few cents out of the "take one leave one" instead of giving me my change back.

lol! thisistheshow, I do the same! I never spend coins (except for occasional dollar coins, which I don't get that often), I always spend paper currency, because I want a handful of coins to examine.
