1950 D Lincoln Cent - Would Love Some Help Determining This Type Of Error

VanorMan New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 01/25/2020 3:57 pm Hey all, I'm new to errors and varieties, and I ran across this coin today in a bank wrapped roll search. Seems to have extra metal on the chest/shoulder of Lincoln and on the area between rim and shoulder. I'm thinking a die break, but honestly cannot find any information online. Would love some help determining this, please. It doesn't look like your normal damaged coin. Thanks in advance :) * Edited by Staff to Add Year / Mintmark / Denomination to Title. The similar die breaks shown, on the planchet, going to the most outer portions of the rim, would indicate the die was broken in more than one place too. Could you please post the reverse, Wondering, What does the reverse show, Either remnants or not, Thanks? PS, I believe there is another die break, on Mr Lincoln's Right lapel too...... Rather than a die break or Cud, these look to me like scraped copper from the rim. Yes, I saw the other potential break on the lapel. I would agree on the copper scraping as well, looks like it got shaved and folded on itself. I'm excited about the find.
