@ravenstyr, first welcome to CCF. Second, it looks like someone has taken a punch to this cent. The reason is unknown, but it is certain that it happened after this coin left the mint.

All kinds of things can happen to a coin after it has been struck,
but only certain things can happen while it is being struck which is
the only time an error can occur and this is not one of the them. PMD.
