Perhaps during circulation or running though counting machines or a slight amount of grease on the outer devices? If seen on the reverse it might be a Grease Fill issue. Report this Post to the Staff
zaphod4242 New Member United States 42 Posts	Posted 01/28/2020 9:46 pm My non-expert opinion is Machine Doubling. Though interestingly it is on the right of the date and the left of Liberty. Looks like a grease strike on the "Li" of Liberty. The "T" almost looks tripled. If it was just the date, I'd say MD for sure, but the Liberty is weird.
