There's a local coin dealer near me that sells circulated wheat cents rolled by year and mint. The other day I bought a roll of 1927 cents to search for FS-101 as well as a few other dates (I bought two 1917 rolls, but no luck).
I got two 1927 FS-101 in the one roll! This one is very tricky to spot!
This is one I haven't found yet. What is the first thing about this one that caught your eye when you were CRH? I'm not sure I would have recognized this DDO looking through a batch of '27 cents!
The extra thickness at the bottom of LIBERTY really stood out to me. Also, some separation on IN GOD is still visible, although I did not see it at first.
Great finds. I searched several rolls of 27's looking for that coin. I did as you did and got rolls of 1917's also. Didn't find any 27's but did find 3 1917 ddo1's
