Hello! I think this is called a lamination error? The reverse has some other issues also! How should I store this? Thank you in advance!

Yes, it is a lamination error. More common on the copper and silver planchets. It is is a silver melt coin or a hole filler in an album.

You could also just put it in a 2x2.

Thank u all for the info, suggestions and welcome~ I think I'll put it in a 2x2! My coins are all so different and I tend to like the errors, strange and different looking coins! I'm still going to put a nice collection together with a little bit of everything to give to my kids one day.

Reverse looks like a scratch to me, but still a keeper

Thanks GF! I bet this coin went through a rough battle in 1943
To me it has character and flaws~ its now in a 2x2!
The scratch on the reverse is the length of the coin and it wiped out the "C" in cents and ran it into the "E" in states. You should see the other coin!
