Hi! I found this in a roll coin hunting today and as a newby I'm trying to learn the differences. Could this be a DDO or is this something else? Any input welcome as I'm enjoying learning all about coins :)
First time posting a coin so hopefully the pictures are okay.

Your coin is a normal strike and not a DDO.
Here is a link to all this year's DDOs

Your talking about the date and mintmark issue? The is called the beginning of DDD. (Die-Deterioration-Doubling) it is the start of Die Deterioration. It always affects the devices in the direction of the closest rim. Date on the right, Liberty on the Left and The tops of the motto.

Sometimes it the die marriage has lasted for a even amount of time and can also be seen on the reverse of the coins.
Not a doubled die or Machine Doubling, just die wear on the single squeeze dies. Because the profile of all the devices on these dies, the fields show the die wear. On the older multi-hubbed dies, the outside edges of the devices were affected. No premium for this. The last 500K coins struck with these dies will show a progressive process of the further breakdown with these dies.

Thank you for the response! The date and mint seemed different to me, but I haven't been at this long lol. Thank you again.

Your pics were pretty good for your first time posting! Typically we like to see both sides of your coin, and close-ups as you gave us. Good job!

Thank you for all of the information and welcoming comments! It took me a while to figure out how to upload the pictures and get a good one through my magnifying glass so thank you for that!
