Looks bright and nice and almost uncirculated.

I won't deny the fact these look nice, but it's still very easy to find post-1982 cents in near uncirculated condition or better. Things start to get a little more interesting once you find MS examples from the copper era.

I like getting nice red examples in change like that. Keep looking, I've seen them as far back as 1960 that still have mint red that you can get in change.

T-Bop I think that is what impressed me is the fact they are zinc and in such good shape after being out in the world for so long. I had to darken the pictures to be able to see them because the flash from my camera whited them out. Maybe I just never paid attention before. I just got hooked on coins and the search. Not really in it for the money I just enjoy the hunt.

Had they been actively circulating, they'd look much more tarnished and dinged by now. These look like they might have been sitting in someone's penny jar for the past 20 plus years.

I love getting old cents that look like new. I was at the bagel shop and recently got back a 1963, 1964 and 1969 D in mint red also. The whole tray was full of mint red cents. I should have offered to purchased them all.

Nice coins, indeed. They may have (technically) been in circulation over the many years, but that doesn't mean they passed from buyer-to-seller on a daily/weekly basis. Imagine someone getting a few 'new' 1988 cents back in '88, and tossing them into a jar--where they sat for 30 years before someone rolled them and deposited them at a bank. In my cent roll searches I come across 'very low mileage' pennies from the '80s and '90s with some regularity.
If you like 'em, keep 'em. Cool!

I hadn't considered that someone could have had them in a coin jar for so long. I don't know why, almost everyone has a change jar. I know people that use them to save for vacations. I love learning new things. It can be frustrating and exciting at the same time. Thanks all for the feedback. Very informative.
