Hey everyone I'm new here just wanted to get someone's opinion?
Does this look genuine?

I split your post from the other thread to the proper attention.

The D on his forehead is a counter stamp done after it left the mint, not an error.

When posting pictures, please include a full picture of both sides.
If that is a dropped letter, it would have to come from the mm and we can't tell what the mm is.

It could be a dropped letter. They appear incuse. Also, this is a Denver minted coin. You can see the corner of the mint Mark in the picture, and the D MM was the only mint mark used this year for business strikes. I would like to see other opinions on this as well.

I would think if it is a counter stamp, there would be some ridging around "D". Hard to tell from the image if this is there. Maybe a closer image of the area would show more detail.

samalex01: To CCF..My guess would be NOT a MS-62 or a dropped letter that's a BIG D for a dropped letter. Please post better pictures.

With all the other contact on the coin, I can't rule out damage. If it were BU and fresh looking it might have been a dropped letter. Just too much other contact since it was new to tell now.
