I suppose that this is a rather boring coin to grade, especially when I see folks asking about stuff like a 1915 St Gaudens. But I said that I'm posting all my dollars in order, and #58 is in order. It's definitely making me look at these coins a second time, and I'm learning from your comments.

With that being said, I graded this when I got it. I thought it was a 53 then, but now looking at it I notice that it has nice cartwheeling, but only around the outside edges, and just past the stars towards the inside, the entire inside is still shiny, but no more cartwheeling. Has the middle been polished but not to the edges?

So what do you think?

AU details, cleaned. The recessed areas of the central devices have crud in them, and there is a halo around the devices.
