coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/14/2020 5:43 pm They figured out a few years later, that there was an issue for the planchets were plated, they didn't get a good enough rinse. This allow the zinc dust to be plated over creating the issues you are seeing on your coin. So they are not a valuable error, but something to avoid like split plating on coins you would buy. If something is distracting on a coin, pass. It would be harder to sell to the buyer if there is an issue with a coin. Report this Post to the Staff
