Actually what you are seeing is die wear. Not a doubled die. See the fields? That is called die flow. Die flow is cause by movement of the metal being shaped into a coin a few hundred thousands of times. Even though some metals are softer, they all still cause die wear. Anything removed from the die, will leave a raised on the on the coins. That is what you are seeing.
