I recently received some 100 dollar bills from selling my car, and noticed something suspicious, the paper that covers the blue stripe peels off in 3 different spots. I compared with 2 others from my roommates wallet and the same thing here in Minneapolis. are the bills legit and can they be deposited at the bank?

It's almost impossible to advise you about this without photos @Gano.

had some trouble uploading photos, I can send them to you if this does not work, need to know by 7:30 am CST if possible thanks for any help! basically 3 spots on the stripe you can slip a paper clip under and a few of them can be scratched or ripped open. all are 2013 or 2009A.

The blue security strip is incorporated (interwoven) into the face of the note. Your note appears to be torn adjacent to the strip and part of the currency paper covering the strip is also damaged. Chances are this happened in circulation. I don't believe the bank will even notice or say anything. Banks probably get torn notes everyday.
