It is Machine Doubling. How can I tell the difference?
1. Note the devices are normal in size.
2. The area affected with the MD is on the outside edge of the device on one side.
3. Note the affected area is missing the contour of the devices. (Note the opposite side, you can see the light fad to dark as it rounds the corner. On the MD it look like a cliff. The color doesn't fade, but changes instantly from light to dark as it falls over the edge of the MD area.
4. The affected area is flat, shelf like looking like a step down. That is from the machine damaging the devices like a kick in the shin right after the strike.
5. On a doubled die, the doubling is on the die and enlarges the devices with a spread most often in the center of the devices, or showing a notch in the corners of the devices.

So keep in mind that the MD is on the edge of the devices, reducing the size of the normal devices. This caused by the machine, a doubled die has the doubling on the die. (thus the term)
