That is Machine Doubling. How can I tell? Note the area you are looking at. Is the edge flat, square like? Yes. Note how the light reflects back in the images? That is showing that, that area is flat.

The normal design would be contoured like the other three sides of the devices. Note how the devices are reduced from the MD on the edge of the coins. If it were a doubled die, the contour would be present. The devices would be enlarged. They are not. So it is not a doubled die. This was caused by the machine. On a doubled die the doubling is 'on the die.' Thus the term doubled die.
I just check to see if PCGS has any listed as a doubled die and didn't see any. So they are just machine doubled examples.
