Hi to all! Just joined and started looking closer at coins from my grandkids and trying to get them into it for a lifelong hobby (or more). Retired now and had to find something to do in the winter to keep me busy. Anyway, I have a question about a Roosevelt dime. What kind of error is it if you can see the outline of Roosevelt on the obvers side of the coin? Hope someone can help me out !!
@abyss, first welcome to CCF. Second, I have split out your post from the Welcome section of CCF to the US Modern Variety and Error section of CCF so that we can get the correct eyeballs on your question.

Sounds like you are describing a clashed die issue on a dime. Here is what you are seeing on your coin: In my signature line below you will see numbers. 1-5. These are Youtube Videos on collecting coins. It is called Coin Fishin' "What to Keep, What to Throw back."
Thank You coop ! ! My coin (2000-P) doesn't have the full image of the obverse on the reverse like the picture you have posted, just most of the line of Roosevelt's outline. On the obverse side I can see some of the leaf designs in the field just infront of Roosevelt's mouth up to his forehead and little at the base of his hair on his neck. Thanks Again for the help ! !
