Here's a 1928 SLQ for your grading pleasure, currently in NGC plastic with a green bean (CAC) on it. Toned coins can be difficult to grade from an image, so this should be interesting.

Really nice toning, I'm going to say it would grade MS-64.

Very beautiful coin Hadley, should fit right in with all your other rainbow toners.

I see a few small nicks on the eagle's throat but practically no other marks. Liberty's head detail is pretty good but is flat in the center and the hair line is incomplete, so it won't make FH.

I think it grades at least MS-65 and MS-66 should be possible. With the exceptionally lovely toning NGC must have hung a star on this one!

I believe the nicks on the throat are actually as minted......here's a pic of another coin that shows similar details.

She's housed in an ngc ms67 holder with a cac green sticker, and in hand is strong for the grade. I would have graded the images ms65 to ms66, but would not have been sure whether I was seeing toning breaks or marks.
