I came across this coin while coin roll hunting. I have several questions about features on this coin. One is the lamination condition. As you can see the texture is very strange, what could cause this? Secondly, I noticed that the lettering seemed much narrower than a regular nickel. Is this an error, and if so what type? I am new and don't know a lot about such things and would appreciate some opinion from people who are knowledgeable about such things. I posted it next to a normal coin for comparison. Thanks :D

It looks like it used to be a metal detector find and it's been cleaned up.Nothing unusual it's a spender.

I agree that it's nothing unusual and is a spender. Just a damaged coin. PSD.

There's a variety for the 1990P nickel but yours looks normal.

If weight is less than 5 Grams, then it might have been dipped in acid. But mostly PSD.
