Correct I agree Very Fine Details but it pitted somewhat and maybe even an old cleaning.

Look carefully on the '19's for R/Pd 9, as well as Doubling (probably Die Deterioration or MD) staring left to right in Cent and Canada. I have some with the offset well into the DA in Canada and past the E in Cent. You can find them with just 1, 2, or 3 letters involved, but they are hard to find with more than just the C's involved. Again, I think that this die progressed with just the C's involved and then worked it's way over, well into the word as the hub/die got looser. I have 1 with the 9's doubled and the "doubling with good offset well into the D of Canada .. only one I've found like that, so they're scarce.

If it isn't too much to ask, I would love to see some pics of those.

I really haven't showed these much, because I wanted to keep them somewhat of a secret .. my friends knew about them. I will post a few microscope shots of them for others, since I'm no longer in the hunt for them. I'm not much of a searcher anymore, but was for 25-30 years. The coin(s) in the photos I've had for 4-5 years. The first "19" is the 1st 19 in the date. The next is the final 19 in date.

Numis-Northerner: Well I posted what you wanted to see. The coin pictured, Jack Griffin assigned a rarity of 8 ... Jack didn't go any higher than that on his rarity scale. And the one that Jack described didn't have the MD going from left to right. It's relatively easy to find coins with the C's in Cent or Canada and get scarcer for letters involved the further right that you go in the word.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier, I don't have access to my old email so I have to go back and check threads I have commented on manually. Thanks for the pics.

What kind of population estimates would an 8 suggest?
