it weighs 5.14 grams and has a diameter of 25 mm.

I cannot locate it in Krause. Possibly a fantasy or I am overlooking the obvious

The apparent lack of a date makes me think the same, unless there is a place that was making cruder coins with no dates?

Imperial, not empirical, even though the noun is "empire". I wonder if the words are related...

I think my favorite Yemenite imperial coin is the pentagonal 1/8 riyal, one of, I believe, only three pentagonal coin types ever minted for circulation anywhere (the other two are a 1/16 riyal also from Yemen, and a Transnistrian plastic 5 rubles that might actually be a banknote).

Here's my example, dated 1368 AH = 1948/49 AD:
