So the 1911 and 1909 I recently posted arrived, quite certain the 1911 is a matte proof, extra metal in Y of liberty, die scratch nw from the G of God, wide flat rims...sad about the dark spots though.

nice coin should grade on a very high scale. driveing me crazy waiting for my 1998 double struck penny to come back from PCGS.I have a 1912 but it shows its age.

Details coin (ED) whatever the diagnosis. No way this can be salvaged.

...UNC-details (such a shame) that's why it's a good idea to wear a mask when handling your UNC coins. My girl thinks I'm crazy when I wear mine...she's right...crazy about coins...

Not sure if a proof, could be but it has terminal, black cupric oxide corrosion from improper storage.

Congrats indeed, though not a coin I'd want to own. Those oxidation spots won't get any smaller.

Congrats on the grade and confirmation. Surprised that PCGS didn't detail it for the corrosion spots. Good for you for seeing the die markers!

if possible please wait 48hrs to provide grade. my first thought was proof and I had it at PF63RB but thought it would grade details (ED)
