Hello,

I'm thinking of buying Birth Year Frames for me and my wife but what kind of coins does one but in a birth year frame, circulated, uncirculated, graded, proof? I have found many good frames I just need to choose which online store to buy from there are so many I'm a little over whelmed. Any advice?

Thanks,
Rich

I have always liked the Capital Plastics holders. Here is a link for the birth year holders they have: Capital Plastics Birth Year

Hi Rich,

I think it depends mostly on budget, which years you are looking at and personal preference. Some people don't like proof coins some do. And the older you are it may be expensive to get high quality specimens.

I wouldn't bother too much with graded as you are going to be removing them from any slabs they may be in anyway.

As far as frames go, if I was planning to mount them on a wall I think I would look carefully for the best inserts and get them framed separately. You will then get a nicer finish.

You could also then put both sets in the same frame which might be nice.
