Hi again all. Thank you first for you patience with me. I have found 4 quarters all with similar markings on them and am curious about it. I'll put this 2013 d Ohio up first. Let me know what ya'll think. Looks kinda cool to me as if he's tossing a pair of glasses. Lol Like I say the other coins have the same to similar

I don't see how that is possible? The way it is an exact match to another coin I have. BUT, what do I know. Lol I'm a newbie to coin roll hunting and ALL the various impacts weather from the mint or from the pocket. Haha

Quote: The way it is an exact match to another coin I have. @wlf, for sure both of these have dings in much the same spot, but if you compare them carefully, you will see small differences in their angle and size.

@Spence. Thank you for the lesson. You are right and I'm laughing at my self from your quote of me. "Exact". As they are NOT exact. Coin 1 & 2 seem very close as coin 3 has more detail of what I think is the same imprint. But, being new and just looking for abnormalities I suppose ........../well, I need a lot more education on the matter. SO I DO APPRECIATE INPUT FROM ALL on these subjects and am grateful for the patience

Both coins have been damaged. PSD. These are Reed Marks from a Quarter getting dropped onto it.
Errers and Varietys.

@wolf, I see the two indents on your third coin, but not the scrollwork.

Vertical lines are contact marks, called bag marks. They are also damage to the coin. 99% of the incuse marks on coins are PSD (Post-Strike-Damage) to the coins. 1% are mint errors. So all you see on your coin is common damage. Not a mint error.
