to CCF. Looks like environmental damage to me. It left the mint with copper plating. Value 1¢

@BC, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @john1 that the copper plating most likely has been stripped off of this cent, leavbing behind the copper core. Finally, it is a small thing, but you should flatten the staples on your 2x2s so that they don't accidentally scratch a coin adjacent to them when you store them.

Typing that reminded me of a site that can alter a message into something funny. You know like offices messages from the Boss. Turn it into a redneck version of his comments:
http://rinkworks.com/dialect/
Example Spence's comment:

Quote:
@BC, first welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @john1 that the copper plating most likely has been stripped off of this cent, leavbing behind the copper core. Finally, it is a small thing, but you should flatten the staples on your 2x2s so that they don't accidentally scratch a coin adjacent to them when you store them.

Now becomes:
Redneck language :
@BC, fust welcome t'CCF. Second, ah agree wif @john1 thet th' copper platin' most likely has been stripped off of this hyar cent, leavin' behind th' copper co'e. Finally, it is a small thin', but yo' sh'd flatten th' staples on yer 2x2s so thet they doesn't accidentally scratch a coin adjacent t'them when yo' sto'e them, dawgone it.

You just copy a message and put it in the box and pick what you want it edited to. Then translate it and copy paste. (Just make sure your Boss doesn't see it) LOL
