Wanting to find silver in halves but can not find any banks that stock them! If anyone knows anything knows what banks in Connecticut have them, please contact me!

This won't help, but loose and rolled halves are 'reasonably' available out west. I'd estimate that 80% of the many bank branches in my general area have some halves--ranging from 10-15 loose coins to several rolls each. The halves that I've come across in my area are picked over--very picked over. In all my years of searching, I've found very little silver halves through roll hunting, perhaps six total. A few more have shown up in teller trays. I have come across a few nice not-intended-for-circulation Kennedys.
PS -- I'm not an industrial-level hunter, ordering and searching several boxes weekly/monthly.

The odds are you are gonna have to order a box. And, unless you are insanely lucky, going through boxes is about the only way you are gonna find any.

to CCF Call the area banks and just ask. If you find a location that carry's 50c rolls, you most likely have to open up an account with them in order to get the rolls.

My credit union has $700.00 in halves that would love to be rid of - except for collectors (who likely have all of the common ones already - nobody wants them.

fplagge, you totally missed the point here! OP is asking where he/she could get these rolls at, nowadays when you go to any bank and ask for rolls of coins the first thing they ask is: Are you the bank's customer? if you are not, you won't get it.

My banks in my area never have rolls and rarely have loose halves but I am not in a big city. I never tried to order but that is above my pay grade.

Have a minimum of at least 50 banks/credit unions on your list, even if it means road trip.
I can visit dozens of banks that I don't have an account with, and have at least a 50% success rate scoring loose halves and rolls.
When I listen to LED ZEPPELIN...so do my neighbors... Roll hunting since '77 Dirt fishing since '72

THAT was my point. Maybe you live in an area where the banks are a bit more profit oriented.
