I got 3 pennies back from the hardware store of the same date and same condition pennies. I couldn't tell you if it was the brass giving me reason to question or if it is doubling. It's really intriguing to me, and I hope it is to you.

Check to see if the mintmark locations match. If they do, then they were all struck by the same die pair. (and they will all be from the same run) If they are in different locations, they they would be from different die pairs. This may have been a roll opened for the first time. If the coin were is great shape, they would be savers to your young collectors to get started for a new album?
