I'd offer $2100, not a cent more.

I've got one of those myself. I'm going to a coin show tomorrow and since I could use the money, maybe I'll take it with me to sell to one of the buyers there. I understand that they need to make a profit, so I'll be willing to take 2 grand for it.

There have been several people, myself included, that have theorized it is some sort of way for drug dealers to sell or set prices or the like. It really has to be something like that. If they truly think thats a reasonable price...

Video games have a form of this. I do not know if it exists as much in real life (?). the scenario is that in many online games, you can't give other people 'money'. But there is a public ebay like auction house where you can trade items, but not to a specific person. Add to that, there are people who sell the money you can't trade online; they sit all day 'farming' money and then sell it fore real money, in other words. Then to give the money to the person, the person post a specific item at a specific price (the item is worthless) and the money seller buys it, 'giving' the money to the agreed upon person who sent the real life money to the seller. In our world, its possible that this technique can be used as a money laundering scheme (sell worthless crap for stupid prices and the buyer of said crap just tells anyone asking that they got tricked by a fake). Whether this is actually used or not, I do not know. It could just as easily be scammers tricking the uninformed. Or a mix of those.
