I came across this cent today. The color and toning is much different from the other cents and really stood out. I would like to hear your thoughts please.

Stain pattern looks like that coin may have spent some time in car's cup holder

Ok. Is that a die crack across the front?

I believe in the law of averages - I will eventually find a true error coin :)

Cup-holder coin says it well. Close-up of that line would be necessary to evaluate it.

@telliot, yes keep it up and you are sure to find something. I'm not sure about that being a die crack coming off of Abe's lip though. It looks more like staining.

This is a zinc coin plated in copper, so how could it have a bad mix of copper in the coin? It can't It is as mentioned have staining on the coins plating. (probably exactly as described)
