Hi All! I am trying to learn how to identify real double dies & Mechanical Doubling. Advise is greatly appreciated with this coin. The letters appear to be too thick & some doubling . Am looking at shadows? Is this MD? Thanks in advance. I also included a pic of the whole coin. uploaded/Beauty123/20200310231044_87C81AB4-A145-4C20-8915-[ Here is the a pic of the coin out of the holder. Doesn't look like a collar clash right? On the other hand I found this coin that might look like one with a possible die crack above the 1964 Edited by Beauty123 03/11/2020 10:57 pm

Looks like MD to me. If the coin is in a 2x2 holder,it is best to take pics of coins out of "any" holder whenever possible. John1

I'm interested in the reeding that appears on the top half of the outer rim of the coin, from about 7 o'clock to 2 o'clock.
Is that actually present or just a reflection from being in the holder?
Could be a nice collar clash if it's actually present.

Still in question on whether this is Machine Doubling? The convincing evidence is on the rounded devices on your image of the motto. All the rounded letters are thinner at the tops of the devices and larger at bottoms of the devices. These should be equal in size. But the Machine Doubling which affected the tops of the motto, are reduced with a slight amount of MD pushing southwest on these devices. Take a look again. You can tell the MD in that direction, I'm guess also on the other obverse devices.
