This 1994 P Jefferson nickel has a joker looking face, or some angles Hannibal, but just creepy in my opinion and hesitant to even post, but there's a lot going on here with this nickel and I love collecting them as others do too, so had to share. I think this is possibly DDR-001 with matching die dots(under the B of Liberty, and the small window on reverse, right hand side) I am unsure of the obverse nose die markers due to the other damage on coin, and also posted pictures of a possible goiter neck neck with the Y shaped die cracks? Picture 4 shows a possible clip error? The eye and mouth clearly seem to have been "blown out" or gone.
II wondered if anyone could pinpoint this. Very cool looking coin overall tho

Yes I agree that those linear marks are not die cracks but rather gouges and scratches made to the coin after it was struck.

They're not Die Cracks. Just deep scratches. This one is a spender. Remember, a damaged coin isn't an error.

I thought they were scratches too but when looking at pictures (4th,5 & 6th from last) the scratch appears to come upward from the coin with the " Cud" like residue protruding outward. If that makes sense. On the other hand, the die markers are there under the B, the window and not sure about the nose for DDR1

Thoughts on that?
Thanks so much for your replies and help. I'm still learning, I wish there were classes with hands on eye training for this. I've read a lot, but if it was a see and learn, I'd be much better lol. I do better with visual memory and seeing something hands on and would love a class.

I believe what you are seeing is a deep scratch. You can see the recessed portion of the scratch in the middle of the raised area. The raised area on the sides of the scratch is where the metal was pushed up as the scratch was forming. If it were a die crack there would not be any recessed areas in the middle of the crack line. Hope that helps!
