I am trying to figure this one out. This reverse "FG" looks like the one for 1988 reverse. Any thought would be appreciated. Thanks :)

It's RDV-006, but it took a well placed hit, causing it to look like RDV-005 from the 1988 reverse. http://www.error-ref.com/transition...rse-of-1989/

Sorry. It's very hard to tell looking at pictures but it does look like it was damaged.

The difference between the RDV-005 and 006 is not just the initials.
1989-D-Penny-Wit-1988-Reverse?-Please-Help
But the letters on AMERICA are rounded on the RDV-005 and flat and wider on the RDV-006:
1989-D-Penny-Wit-1988-Reverse?-Please-Help
Your coin is a normal 1989-D RDV-006 with damage on the initials.
