Just curious on whether your local coin dealers have closed up shop yet due to COVID-19. I haven't been venturing out of the house too much in the past month with the exception of work and essentials like groceries due to a few health factors that make me high risk if I were exposed. A few of the local LCS's are still posting on Facebook and don't have any disclaimers on their websites so I am assuming they are still open for business.
Are your local coin shops still open for business?

I don't know ,but in most states their telling everybody to stay home and in some it's mandatory . Does anyone want to risk contacting the virus just to buy or look at coins ? Not me . If I need a fix I'll go on E-bay ,much safer .

I don't want to be that guy, but you can probably catch this thing off of an ebay coin purchase.

In NY state, all non-essential stores are supposed to be shut down 100% now.

I think coin shops are pretty essential.

There is no requirement, but at least 2 if not all 4 of our LCS have closed their doors to the public. However, the businesses are still doing what they can without the storefront-ebay, etc, so the businesses themselves are not shut down.

Not to come across as a *** Edited by Staff | The bad word filter is in place for a reason. Bypassing the filter and making the intended word obvious anyway is completely unacceptable. *** or to sound paranoid and in panic mode, but why would anyone venture out if it's not essential? This virus will pass much, much quicker if we'd all use our heads. Above all, stay calm. Breath. And this is why the government steps in to force closures. Stop flooding grocery stores, sport goods stores, ect in large numbers. Think people.

The LCS my child works at is closed, so no more purchasing for me. I may need to eventually do an emergency run just to get something. But for now I'm saving for the 1909 S VDB.

Looks like all our coin shops and other non-essential businesses will be closed effective tomorrow per the governor's order here in Ohio.

Personally, I'm taking the opportunity to educate myself so that when this is all over I can use all that money I didn't spend on coins to finally buy those good coins. To summarize, I'm taking the time now to read the book so I can buy the coin later.

I work part time in a store that sells alcoholic beverage (next best thing to coins?) When we get shut down, we'll know the end is truly near (The boss shut down retail sales on Friday, and we now are delivery-only...but at least are still in business...testing Gov. DeWine's meaning of "essential").
