It does look nice in some of the photos. ICG has 356 of these in MS66 and in NGC - PCGS MS66 is also a common grade. I'd be wary of buying MS66 and better coins if they are not in PCGS holders NGC are also good but for
Morgan dollars I'd want mine in PCGS newest holder if possible.
Check
ebay sold prices on certified MS66 and better
Morgan dollars and you'll see many at better pricing, most 79-S coins are blast white and dripping with luster when high end uncirculated. Spend your money on the,m, I wouldn't pay extra for the light color toned ones I saw in the sold area. some people were paying almost double for coins with not that attractive colored toning. Toned coins should be purchased in hand as they can get so easily juiced from some creative photoshop or photo light and editing manipulation (not saying this auction you posted was juiced), it's just such a common coin look to the top sellers for better examples.
My
Two Cents anyways. Almost every MS66 I've had in the past several years has been purchased off
ebay by Heritage Coins, just saying, they probably had a buyer looking for MS66 and better dollars in certified at that time (a few years ago). Want to see some of the better dollars for sale, look at Barry Stuppler, Gus Tiso, Gary Adkins, Steve Highfill, there are a lot of top silver dollar dealers out there that have literally 100's of MS66 and better coins in inventory to pick through. Know your dealer is key in buying the better grade material.
