Colleen,

It looks like one of the "lower east hooks" mm of the series. I suspect the -033 on

Nice one by the way. If you spot a line inside the D, then there are others which are found on the 60D -large date that have that marker. This website becomes so important if you work with Lincolns.

The thickness around the upper left serif is also interesting...but I have little experience here--I'll wait for the experts.

I should have mentioned, that although it is hard to tell in your photo, it does look like you have the separation in the upper serif of the D also.

It could be, and new discoveries are showing up all the time.
But, that said, it is so obvious that it would have been discovered years ago, do I think not likely.

I wemnt thru all the different versions of the blob on the lower right curve, and eliminarted all but the -033. The onlty thing is that this MM aoppears to have the "east" even farther to the east, than the "-033". Might be a new one! There are only 13 that could compete, and all but one were eliminated.

The mint mark received a ding on the upper portion, but you can still see the split upper serif. 033 die is correct for this coin.

Yup. 1960D-1MM-033. It's not inverted or backwards though. It's just a way off-tilted punching that was partly polished down. There's no evidence of a curve headed the wrong way to call it inverted.
