Second, I agree that the pattern of wear on the front of this coin is very odd, but it all happened after the coin left the mint (not a mint error). coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 03/29/2020 11:54 pm Looks more like a washer was squeezed onto the obverse. (The weight should be normal) Also appears as a flattening affect on the US on the reverse. Or as mentioned, altered removing metal off the obverse. (The weight should be reduced and the copper would be seen from the removed cladding) Report this Post to the Staff
