This one seems to have nice extra thickness on the date and moderate extra thickness on the rest of the coin. I'll throw in a couple of comparison pics with the date of the another 1939 S. What do you guys think? Thanks for looking!
I see what you're seeing, here's what I know..VV has no listings for 39S, Wexlers lists 2 DDOs and Coppercoins list 1 (but your coin is not showing any of the markers), Sorry I'm no help.....where's TB?
It's obviously a later die state, so the slight extra thickness could be due to die wear. Based on the pics, it has more vague uniform thickness than thickness that pushes towards the rim like a Class VI DD. Can you get more pics of IN GOD WE TRUST?
Thanks guys. It's definitely a vlds coin. John 1 I think the rippling is due to the die wear. I can't get the better pic of IGWT right now I away from home. There s a tiny bit of md on trust. Wasn't sure if about this one that's why I asked!
I've got one I'll post later that there is no question on!
