Hi,

Here is a 1921-S lincoln I have a problem with the grade, due to strike and also a "wood grain" toning. I appreciate any comments.

Thanks for looking ,

Jim

Most of these are from mid=late die state, however, this one is heavily worn and cleaned. Looks like a G4 but net grading would take it down substantially due to the cleaning.

G... Thad says it's cleaned... if so (and I've learned to trust what he says on Lincolns) I'm not sure that it would be that big of a deal for a coin in this condition. It's not brassy looking. Carrying it around in your pocket for a while should take care of the majority of the detriment of the cleaning. Worst case scenario you end up with a coin that is a true AG.

G-6 net. Obverse looks VG-8 but the reverse is G-4 at best.

This would make a nice hole-filler for somebody looking for a cheap '21-S. I'd hold on to it for sure because for the $2-$3 somebody would pay for for it is not enough for me to sell it.

I'm partial to S mint cents though.
