I always seem to get mixed up on the correct Lee's numbers but I think I got this one correct PE10-34.
No line to spritsail and "I" of SHIPS over "O" of COLONIES; Lees 34.
Assuming the above is correct would I be correct in marking this one as VF.
Opinions on grade please and any other helpful info?

Cheers, Bill

You're correct with Lees 34 and I'd agree with VF as well.

The reverse is unique to this variety and of pretty bad workmanship as you can see a lot of the letters are misaligned and double punched. Likely the work of an inexperienced engraver at the Heaton mint, as pointed out by Faulkner in his 2019 book "Imperial Designs" which I would definitely recommend reading if you're interested in the Ships Colonies and Commerce series!

Yes Bill, nice one and looks VF to me also, PE10-34 I'm missing quite a few of this series and, this is one of them, I like these.
