@cato, first welcome to CCF. Second, to me it looks like this quarter has surface staining and various nicks and gouges consistent with almost 30 years of circulation. Sorry but I don't see any mint errors.

Ok! Thanks yall! Quick question, not really regarding just this coin, but how do you clean coins? I get some that I can wipe stuff off of them but have no idea how to get the rest. I thought about a soft toothbrush but I dont wanna scratch them for sure

The only safe things to use is 100 percent pure Acetone and Verdi-Care. http://goccf.com/t/300896It might help a little, but the stain won't completely go away.

Unless it's a well circulated coin, I wouldn't "wipe stuff off" but maybe pick off gunk with a toothpick and then the acetone bath....  to CCF have fun and good luck on future finds
