2000 P Maryland Error

@cato, first welcome to CCF. Second, sorry but all I'm seeing is damage--scratches, surface roughness, a large rim bruise, and a gouge on Washington's neck. There is a particularly odd mark on his forehead.

Just a mangled up coin. All damage. PSD. A spender.

If you bought a new truck and took a sledge hammer to it, could you return it back the next day and say it was a factory error?

Same for damaged coins. They are not errors, they a just damaged coins. So find out what makes us know the differences between a mint error and a PSD (Post-Strike-Damage) 99% of the coin that have incuse marks on them are PSD. (damaged) Only 1% of incuse marks on a coin are mint errors. (Don't feel bad, we get this everyday) The best way to get an answer is to ask a question. If you get a yes or no answer, the ask why. I always try to answer a question with explaining what I see on the coin. That way you will know, what I see and you will remember this longer than a yes or no answer. So just ask when you still have a question. The dumbest question is the one not asked. Why? Because if it is not clear, then you assume the answer. (You know what happens when this happens, the word assume will have a real meaning.
